The Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth which runs Casualty First is truly unique – a charity offering the highest quality of care to patients.
All our profits fund our on-site hospice – St John’s – which treats over 4,000 terminally ill patients and their families every year. But while helping the hospice our patients can be sure they are being treated by some of the finest Consultants and nurses in the world in luxury surroundings with state-of-the-art facilities.
We have over 600 doctors and can treat almost any illness on an inpatient and outpatient basis.
We have five fully equipped operating theatres and all our bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms. Patients can also be reassured by the fact that in the latest audit we had zero cases of MRSA.
The Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth in St Johns Wood was founded in 1856, and is one of the country’s largest independent charity hospitals.
Both the Hospital and the Hospice share one ethos – to provide the highest quality health care for all those who seek it.
St Johns Hospice
St John’s is the only independent Hospice serving central and north west London – caring for 3,000 terminally ill patients and their families every year for free.
Our specialist team provide a wide range of services designed to support those with terminal or life threatening illnesses, their families and friends.
At St John’s, we focus on relieving symptoms and promoting independence. We provide a positive, safe and friendly environment in which people can embrace the challenges and opportunities life brings. Our patients can learn new skills, take up painting, enjoy the benefits of reiki and reflexology, or simply benefit from the peaceful and uplifting surroundings.
